Extension 延期

When your studentship is about to expire, you can apply for an extension, master student can apply extend for one year, and PHD can apply extend for two years.

Follow below step guide:

1)Log into digital SJTU  http://my.sjtu.edu.cn   through service hall→post graduate→extend study duration, apply on line, submit application online.

2)The extension application will be reviewed through several links, including educational administration teacher→ supervisor→department deputy dean→ political teachers→college deputy dean →graduate school

The system need you upload the proof of financial support:

Proof of financial support during extension should be in one of the following forms:

1) Signed letter from supervisor showing that he/she will provide financial support during your extension.

2) Signed letter from parents or guardian or sponsor showing that they will provide financial support during your extension.

3) Official bank statement with sufficient balance in the student's personal bank account.

4) Official asset certificate from Alipay (Me->Total Assets ->Service->Asset Certificate -> Proof of balance); screen shot is not acceptable.

Suspension 休学

When you take more than 3 months off, you need to apply for suspension.

Follow below step guide:

1)  Log into digital SJTU http://my.sjtu.edu.cn

through service hall→ post graduate→ suspension, apply on line, submit application online.

2) Fill online and submit online

3)The application will be reviewed through several links, including educational administration teacher→ supervisor→ department deputy dean→ political teachers →college deputy dean →graduate school

Resume schooling复学

When your suspension is over, you need make request to resume schooling.

Follow below step guide:

1) Log into digital SJTU http://my.sjtu.edu.cn

through service hall→ post graduate→ resumption, apply on line, submit application online.

2) Fill online and submit online

3)The application will be reviewed through several links, including educational administration teacher→ supervisor→ department deputy dean→ political teachers →college deputy dean →graduate school

Early graduation 提前毕业

When your actual graduation time is earlier than your expected graduation time.

Follow below step guide:

1)  Log into digital SJTU http://my.sjtu.edu.cn through service hall→post graduate→early graduation, apply on line, submit application online.

2)  Fill online and fill the reason

3)The application will be reviewed through several links, including educational administration teacher→ supervisor→department deputy dean→ political teachers→college deputy dean →graduate school

Completion 结业

When you can no longer apply for extension, you can only apply for completion. As master student under the completion state, you can complete the defense within one year from the date of your completion application to obtain the degree certificate and graduation certificate. 

As phd student under the completion state, you can complete the defense within two year from the date of your completion application to obtain the degree certificate and graduation certificate.

through service hall→ post graduate→ completion, apply on line, submit application online.

2)Fill online and submit online

Withdraw from school 退学申请

Follow below step guide:

1)Log into digital SJTU http://my.sjtu.edu.cn through service hall→post graduate→ with draw from school, apply on line, submit application online.

2)Fill online and submit online

3)The application will be reviewed through several links, including educational administration teacher→ supervisor →department deputy dean→ political teachers → college deputy dean →ISC teacher →the graduate school
